Major League Baseball has created a new proposal that includes the implementation of a salary cap/floor system in 2028. The MLBPA quickly rejected this proposal in a statement on social media. The proposal is likely to become a major point of contention as MLB and the union prepare for negotiations ahead of the expiration of the current collective bargaining agreement.
