Top-2o class of 2026 point guard Deron Rippey Jr. has rescheduled his official visit to Kentucky, his father told HS Top Recruits on Twitter. The 5-star prospect will now make his visit to Lexington during the week of 10/6-10/8.
Rippey, a 6-foot-2, 175-pound guard and New Jersey native, is one of the nation’s most sought-after prospects. He is ranked 13th nationally according to Rivals, which also has him ranked second among point guards.
One of the most dynamic on-ball guards in the 2026 class, Rippey
combines elite quickness with strong ball-handling skills, which allows him to break down defenders and be a dominant on-ball player.
Kentucky has made the Blair Academy product a priority in the 2026 class, especially now that Taylen Kinney has committed to Kansas.
Rippey announced on September 4 that he has cut his list down to 10 schools, with the Wildcats being one of them. He recently cut off Indiana and Kansas.
Kentucky has produced many elite guards, including John Wall, Tyrese Maxey, and Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, among others. Rippey could end up being mixed in there if he chooses Kentucky. This visit to Lexington will go a long way in deciding if the Cats can win this recruiting battle.
