Chelsea have been hit by a couple key new injuries, with João Pedro and Reece James joining Moisés Caicedo, Marco Palestra, and Jordan Henderson on the unavailable list. We’re not yet sure of the severity of either JP’s or Reecey’s injuries, but they (most likely) will be missing in action tonight (and over the international break for their respective national teams).
So, who can step in for them against Brentford? For the WAGNH Community, that responsibility falls to Danny Welbeck and Valentín Barco.
The two summer arrivals have seen plenty of action in the League Cup, but this would be their first starts in the Premier League for the Blues.
The rest of the preferred lineup is a familiar one, though we do have a start for Pep Chavarría as well, after Jorrel Hato’s (31%) unfortunate afternoon last weekend, and the Community continue to not give preference to Wesley Fofana (38%) either.
3-4-3 / 3-4-2-1 (77%)
Martínez (94%) | Colwill (79%), Lacroix (97%), Acheampong (68%) | Chavarría (69%), Barco (69%), Lavia (90%), Neto (70%) | Rogers (97%), Palmer (97%) | Welbeck (64%)
The only other non-injured players to receive a decent amount of votes were Malo Gusto (22%), Estêvão (23%). Of the injured lot, Reece James (29%) led the way with João Pedro (23%) not far behind.
