Manchester United are set to appoint Brentford’s Premier League Table chief operating officer Ameesh Manek as their new director of football operations. Manek, who will leave Brentford after three years
at the club, will effectively oversee the running of United’s Carrington training ground.
Manek replaces Nick Cox, who left for a technical director role at Everton in June after spending eight years at United.
Part of Manek’s role at United will see him take charge of travel, security, training facilities, staff management and infrastructure as United look to overhaul the day-to-day running of the club.
Manek originally joined Brentford as their business operations director before being promoted to chief operating officer in July 2024.
Manek’s focus will be across both the men’s and women’s teams at United and he becomes the latest leadership appointment by United chief executive officer Omar Berrada.
Berrada has made sweeping changes at United since arriving at the club in July 2024 from Manchester City.
