The Boston Celtics are facing off in a prime-time matchup with the San Antonio Spurs, but the Celtics will be without one of their stars for the second half of the game. Jaylen Brown was ejected at the 3:42 mark of the second quarter, receiving two technical fouls in the span of 10 seconds.
Brown was pushed out of bounds by Stephon Castle, but instead of a foul being called, JB was ruled to have gone out of bounds on his own, possession awarded to the Spurs. Jaylen was livid at the no-call, barking
at the referee all the way down the court. That ref, Tyler Ford, let Jaylen voice his displeasure for a bit, but eventually got fed up and called a tech on JB.
Brown, now even more frustrated, got a second wind, and had more words for the officials. Suyash Mehta, the official on the other side of the court, didn’t want to give JB any more leash. It took a matter of seconds before Mehta called a second technical on Jaylen and sent him to the showers.
Brown ended the night with 8 points, 2 rebounds, 7 assists, and a steal on 4-8 shooting in just 14 minutes. In the locker room, he tweeted his displeasure:
