Los Angeles Chargers wide receiver Ladd McConkey is being evaluated by the medical staff after suffering a head injury in the first half of the team’s Week 6 game against the Kansas City Chiefs at Arrowhead Stadium.
So far this season, McConkey has 12 catches for 183 yards and a touchdown as he has been dealing with a foot injury that put him on the injury report during the week. He was limited in the first two practices of the week but was a full participant on Friday and active for the game. Unfortunately,
it appears the injury bug has stung him once again.
McConkey’s foot injury caused him to leave the game early in Week 4 against the Seattle Seahawks, and he did not play in the team’s loss last week against the Denver Broncos.
With McConkey getting evaluated for a concussion and Tre’ Harris out due to a hamstring injury, the team will rely on Quentin Johnston and KeAndre Lambert-Smith as its top receivers.
The Chargers trail 9-3 against the Chiefs in the middle of the second quarter. Fans can watch the game on CBS or stream it on the Paramount Plus app.
