After the end of the 2026 NFL Draft, one of the most notable undrafted free agents the Bears signed was Utah center Jaren Kump.
A six-year senior at Utah, Kump played a career 2,842 blocking snaps for the Utes. Though he played primarily as a center at the collegiate level, he has also taken snaps at each of the other four offensive line positions. He dominated at the American Bowl and earned a last-minute addition to the Shrine Bowl.
Coming out of the 2026 NFL Draft, Kump was the No. 315 overall player
on my board, my 14th-ranked center, and the fourth-best center to hit undrafted free agency. I think his best bet to make the Bears’ roster is as a guard, seeing as though Chicago already has both Garrett Bradbury and Logan Jones at center. Here are my thoughts on Kump as he heads to the Windy City.
