This is the headline that most Seminole fans were hoping not to see. The Desir twins have decided to enter the transfer portal.
The Desir twins were a bright spot in an otherwise dark time in Tallahassee. Pressed into significant playing time so early in their careers, the Desirs responded well. Mandrell notched 6.5 sacks in addition to 30 tackles (7.5 for loss) and a forced fumble. The only two true freshmen to collect more sacks in FSU history? Ron Simmons and Brian Burns. Darryll finished the year with 23 tackles (1.5 for loss) and a sack.
This would be a major hit to the FSU defensive line unit if the twins follow through with leaving Tallahassee. The coaching staff will have to work hard to retain them and undoubtedly invest a hefty number.
