The Cincinnati Bengals seem to have finally found an anchor at the safety position with Bryan Cook. He has a special connection to the Bengals since he grew up in the Cincinnati area as well as played most of his high school and college football right here.
It is no wonder why the thought of helping Cincinnati get over the hump has a bit more weight to it. Even as a player who has won two championships already with the Kansas City Chiefs. there is just a bit more emotion in it being about bringing
a championship home to your actual home.
If the Bengals are to reach that mark, Cook will be a big part of that after this team couldn’t make the past season with issues mainly with their defense. So far his presence as a sure-tackler and leader has had some early returns.

Ja’Marr Chase And Bengals’ Long Line Of Great Catches
It truly is crazy to sit down and think how long of a line this team has had with great wide receivers. Obviously Ja’Marr Chase and Tee Higgins are the new kids on the block, but AJ Green, Chad Johnson Carl Pickens and Isaac Curtis all had amazing runs in the NFL as a Bengal.
Bengals injuries make early bye week a sudden positive
Some years the bye week can feel like such a waste if it happens during a time without many injuries. Well the Bengals are getting it at a perfect time. They had Chase and Higgins as game-time-decisions this past Sunday as well as countless other banged up starters. An early bye week that actually worked out.
A review of underwhelming Bengals draft class after the first month and change
Outside of Cacshius Howell and Tacario Davis, the understanding has been these other young guys probably won’t be making impacts unless some major injuries happen. Not surprising to see these guys not exactly setting the world on fire so far.

QB1s at risk: Cam Ward, Kirk Cousins among starting quarterbacks who could be benched
The Bengals are set to play the Tennessee Titans Week 8. If Cam Ward were to get benched it would be Mitch Trubisky taking his place. The only time Trubisky started as a Steeler against the Bengals, the game ended in overtime with a field goal by Pittsburgh for the win. Would be interesting to see how hot that seat is the closest we get to that game.
NFL removing Packers RB Josh Jacobs, Broncos LB Jonathon Cooper from Commissioner Exempt List
It is always hard to explain this kind of situation to people who don’t follow the NFL closely. These players could still face suspensions for their domestic violence cases. Jacobs is probably very hopeful whatever video exists out there doesn’t come to light, Unfortunately that is usually the main difference in punishment.
Ravens QB Lamar Jackson (ankle) out Sunday vs. Browns; Tyler Huntley to start again
The Ravens need to hope Huntley can keep the ship afloat for another came to keep their lead in the AFC North one of sole possession. These next two weeks could drastically shift the odds of who will possibly win the North com the end of the season.
