Match Preview
Everton will be on the road this weekend as they travel to the South Coast to take on Brighton & Hove Albion. The Blues are in tenth in the league table, while the Seagulls sit in twelfth three points behind them.
David Moyes has a bigger squad to work with on Saturday, but not because the Blues have made any signings in the January transfer window either. Jarrad Branthwaite made his long awaited season debut in the second half against Leeds United, while Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall also returned from injury
at the same time. The AFCON-winning boys from Senegal Idrissa Gueye and Iliman Ndiaye are back too.
Brighton have more than their fair share of players out injured, and a sizeable contingent that could make the game. Stefanos Tzimas, Adam Webster, Solly March, Mats Wieffer and Diego Coppola are all out. Yankuba Minteh, Brajan Gruda, Igor and Diego Gomez will all undergo late fitness checks.

Everton had beaten Brighton 2-0 with Ndiaye and James Garner notching the goals at Hill Dickinson Stadium early in the season. The Blues have a surprisingly good record away at the Amex, having won there 1-0 thanks to a Ndiaye penalty early in 2025, and have actually not lost there since 2019 when Marco Silva was in charge.
