Every college arena has its traditions. Kansas has “Rock Chalk…Jayhawk…KU…” which is spooky and effective. Indiana plays the William Tell Overture during a timeout, which really is pretty cool. At Taylor University, the students stay quiet until their team scores its 10th point, then the place erupts.
We think NC State still has Everett Case’s ridiculous noise meter (it lights up and encourages the crowd to get loud, but it’s manually adjusted).
Cameron has its own too, naturally, and one of our favorites
is when “Every Time We Touch” by Cascada plays.
Is it a basketball tune?
Not really.
Does it make sense? No, but it doesn’t have to.
For whatever reason, Duke fans really bonded with that song, and now it’s part of the ambiance of the place.
So since it’s almost summer and you could probably use a Cameron fix, enjoy.
