Minutes ago, the Miami Hurricanes Men’s Basketball squad was awarded a #7 seed in the 2026 NCAA Tournament. They will face #10 seed Missouri next Friday, 3/20 in St. Louis, MO.
Miami enters the game with a 25-8 record, and went 1-1 in the ACC tournament, winning in the quarterfinals after a double bye before losing in the semis. Missouri went 20-12 this season, and lost in the SEC tournament 2nd round after an opening round bye.
If Miami prevails, they play the winner of #2 Purdue Boilermakers vs #15
Queen’s Royals. The Boilermakers just won the Big 10 championship earlier on Sunday over Michigan, who earned a 1 seed in the Midwest region. So, they’re a talented team who has firm designs on a deep run in the tournament.
Queen’s won the Atlantic Sun tournament championship to secure their automatic bid, but they’re massive underdogs against Purdue, and likely 1-and-done.
Here’s the entire West Region bracket for you to see. Arizona is the 1 seed up top.
Miami has a good matchup against Mizzou in the opener, and we’ll be locked in for the action.
Survive and advance is the name of the game! Let’s win the opener and keep the season going.
