What is the story about?
Amid a franchise-best seven game winning streak, Washington Mystics forward Shakira Austin was named the WNBA’s Eastern Conference Player of the Week.
Austin averaged 22.3 points, 11.7 rebounds and 2.7 assists from Aug. 3-9. She also tallied 2.3 blocks per game, which tied Cameron Brink for the most in the league during that span.
