The Pittsburgh Steelers are 2-1 after defeating the New England Patriots in Foxborough – a place that has been their personal resting place for two decades. Now on the right side of .500 entering a Week
4 contest in Ireland against the Minnesota Vikings, the Steelers have a golden opportunity to head into their bye week 3-1. That said, Pittsburgh isn’t favored to win in Week 4.
Per FanDuel Sportsbook, the Steelers are 2.5-point underdogs against a Vikings team that just poured 48 points on the Cincinnati Bengals. The Vikings’ defense has two touchdowns in Week 3, both of which were scored by cornerback Isaiah Rodgers. Carson Wentz also had a respectable game, going 14-of-20 for 173 yards and two touchdowns. The biggest name to watch for the Steelers, though, may be running back Jordan Mason, who ran for 116 yards and two scores of his own.
Should the Steelers be able to win and get to 3-1, they will come off the bye week facing Joe Flacco/Dillon Gabriel and the Browns at home, and then they follow that up by facing Jake Browning and the Bengals. There is a real chance the Steelers can be 5-1 through six games, and that starts with beating the Vikings in Week 4.
