Zuffa Boxing has locked down the services of one of the best Welterweights in the game as the upstart promotion has revealed that Conor Benn has joined its ever-growing roster of talent.
Benn (29) is coming off a huge win over Chris Eubank Jr. in Nov. 2025 (highlights), getting revenge on his fellow hard-hitting Brit after losing to him seven months prior, his first-ever defeat (see it here). Benn has a record of 24-1 with 14 knockouts and is the former WBA Continental Europe Welterweight champion
of the world. “The Destroyer” doesn’t have a debut fight and date set for Zuffa, but the signing is a major move for Dana White and Co., who are determined to build up a start-studded, championship-level roster.
“I’m filled with excitement and hunger for what’s ahead with Zuffa Boxing,” said Benn in a press release. “I want the legacy fights, the biggest nights, the biggest stages. I fear no man at any weight, and I’m ready to give the fans the fights they’ve been calling for. I’m in my prime, and together we have bold, ambitious plans”
“Conor Benn is an absolute beast and a superstar,” said UFC President and CEO Dana White. “He shows up every time and destroys people, and now some of the best fighters in the world are calling him out. He’s ready for a world title next and I can’t wait to see him compete in Zuffa Boxing. He’s going to be a huge addition to a growing stable of very talented boxers.”
According to a report by Sports Illustrated, Benn’s deal is a one-fight, eight-figure deal, though neither White or Benn have confirmed.
Nevertheless, the signing adds another layer in the ongoing beef with Dana White and Matchroom Boxing’s Eddie Hearn since “The Destroyer” had been promoted by Hearn since turning pro back in 2016 before jumping ship. Earlier this year, White and Co. signed IBF and The Ring Cruiserweight Jai Opetaia, another one of Hearn’s former fighters.
Hearn and White have been taking verbal jabs at one another over the media, which surprised many since the two combat promoters had a good relationship prior to the UFC CEO making the jun into the boxing world. With two major signings already locked down, Zuffa is showing it means business and one can only imagine (and hope) that the promotion isn’t done locking down major stars.
