The Jets were an active team at the NFL trade deadline, sending Sauce Garnder and Quinnen Williams out of town in trades.
The Jets did not trade several other players who were subject to trade rumors, including
running back Breece Hall. Hall was diplomatic discussing the possibility of a trade and said that he would be willing to come back to the Jets in 2026.
Of course we don’t know for sure how Hall is feeling about the team. Sometimes players choose to answer questions tactfully even if they do want to leave.
Still, it seems notable that at least in public Breece is leaving the door open to returning to the team.
It is notable that the Jets traded some of their top defensive players but kept their top skill players on offense, Hall and Garrett Wilson. With all of the extra picks, we can presume the Jets will pick a quarterback early in one of the next two NFL Drafts. It seems like there is some interest in keeping these guys around to help that quarterback whomever he might be.
