A lot of WWE fans are unhappy and complaining about the rollout of Club WWE, which is WWE’s new $99 per year premium subscription that offers exclusive content, rewards, and early access to tickets, among other things.
There may be a lot of concerns, even internally, about the rocky launch of Club WWE, but I have a feeling that a lot of those frowns are about to be turned upside down.
Do you remember last week when WWE advertised a title match between WWE Champion Sami Zayn and Cody Rhodes at this
week’s (Oct. 19) Raw taping in San Diego? This dark match did indeed take place after Raw finished streaming on Netflix, and it ended in a lame disqualification. Now you can watch the whole thing as part of your Club WWE membership.
WWE states that Club WWE is the ONLY place you can watch this match. I guess they didn’t see all the fan-recorded clips of the match and its finish that are floating around on social media.
Is this the type of exclusive content that makes the $99 per year asking price for Club WWE worth it? Let me know your thoughts on Club WWE’s latest benefit in the comments below, Cagesiders.
