Arizona has not been home for a football game in a few weeks, and it will be a little longer before the next one. But when the Wildcats do return to Arizona Stadium it will be for some afternoon delight.
The UA’s Homecoming game on Nov. 8 against Kansas will kick off at 1:30 p.m. MT, with the contest airing on ESPN2.
Arizona (4-3, 1-3 Big 12) was off last week, having lost its previous two games by a combined nine points to teams that are a combined 15-1. The Wildcats return to action Saturday at 4 p.m. PT on FS1 at Colorado (3-5, 1-4) and will serve as the Buffaloes’ Homecoming opponent.
The Homecoming tilt will mark Arizona’s first football meeting with Kansas since 1966, when the Jayhawks won 35-13 in Tucson. The Kansas holds a 3-2-1 edge in the series, with the UA’s last win coming in 1965 in Lawrence. Its only home win in the series came in 1937.
Homecoming weekend will include a slew of home games by Wildcats teams. On Thursday night, Arizona women’s basketball will open its first season under Becky Burke against UC Riverside, then on Friday volleyball hosts Texas Tech in the morning, with men’s basketball playing its home opener against Utah Tech that evening and Arizona softball playing Pima College in an exhibition. Action continues Sunday with women’s basketball hosting UC Irvine.
