The NFL’s legal tampering period started on Monday at noon, and continues through today at 4 p.m. ET when the new league year starts. The deals that have been agreed to during this negotiating window can’t be finalized until then, along with any trades that didn’t involve the Ravens. The Washington Commanders have agreed to terms with four pending free agents from other teams, along with signing ten of their own players who were set to hit free agency. All four players have been on defense, but the Commanders were linked
to several high-priced offensive players like WRs Alec Pierce and Romeo Doubs, and C Tyler Linderbaum who received a massive payday from the free-spending Raiders.
The new league year starts today at 4 p.m. ET. Washington currently has the most available cap space in the NFL($79.88 million), but only 61 players under contract to fill a 90-man roster. They will need to continue signing players at various salary/skill levels, along with their six draft picks for April’s draft. How many players does Washington need to sign today to make the first wave of free agency a success?
