Florida State baseball’s hot streak continued on Tuesday, logging its second run-rule in its last four games as the Seminoles’ pitching staff combined for the 11th no-hitter in school history in a run-rule win over Bethune-Cookman:

Tuesday is the fourth combined no-hitter in program history, joining 2016 and 2019 as no-hitters with three pitchers along with a two-pitcher no-no in 1968. Tonight is the second seven-inning no-hitter on record, along with Jeff Hill’s against Springfield College on March 27, 1968. It is the third where Florida State allowed at least one run, joining a 7-1 no-hitter in 1967 against Georgia Southern and a 3-2 no-hit victory in 2016vs. Toledo.
Softball
Isa Torres earned multiple accolades after another major week for Florida State, earning D1Softball and Sports Illustrated National Player of the Week as well as her second consecutive ACC Player of the Week nod, the first FSU player to do so since Jessi Warren in 2018:
Torres was perfect from the batter’s box this week and continues her historic offensive run. Torres went a perfect 9-for-9 this week while also drawing six walks and was hit by a pitch. Torres hit leadoff home runs against South Alabama on Wednesday and Syracuse on Saturday and ended the week with four RBI. Torres has 11 hits in her last 11 at-bats and has reached base safely in her last 18 plate appearances. Torres has been unstoppable since returning from injury. In her last eight games, Torres is hitting .889 and is 24-for-27. She has driven in 12 runs and has a staggering on-base percentage of .917 in the last eight games. Overall this season, Torres leads the country with a .648 batting average and is second in the country with a .706 on-base percentage.

Florida State has named April 16-19 as the second annual Seminole Spring Weekend, presented by Whataburger:
Lacrosse will begin the weekend on Thursday, April 16 against Clemson with its Seminole Heritage game at the Seminole Lacrosse Complex.
On Friday, baseball and softball will kick off weekend series vs. Notre Dame and North Carolina, respectively. Baseball will be holding its Seminole Heritage game against the Fighting Irish on Friday, April 17, while softball will hold its Seminole Heritage game vs. North Carolina on Saturday, April 18. Softball will also be hosting Senior Weekend during the entire series vs. the Tar Heels.

FSU men’s golf won the Seminole Intercollegiate on Tuesday, the only team under par (8-under, 856):
The Seminoles had three golfers finish in the top 10 and all five placed within the top 15, led by Tyler Weaver, who finished in second place with a final score of 6-under, 210 after turning in a round of 2-under, 70 on Tuesday. It was his 10th-career top 10 finish and second of this season.
Weaver took over the lead after a birdie on the fourth hole and an eagle on the sixth, jumping to 7-under. Down the stretch, Weaver battled cold and windy conditions on the back nine carding two bogeys.
Carson Brewer saw three birdies on the day, including back-to-back strikes on holes four and five. Brewer finished the day even par, 72, concluding the tournament at 1-under, 215. It was his fifth top 10 finish of his career and second of the season.
Also placing in the top 10 was Wilmer Edero, who finished his final round with three birdies on the day, carding 1-over, 73 on Tuesday. Edero tied for seventh, scoring even, 270, earning his second top 10 finish of his career and first of the season.
Jack Bigham saw his best round of the tournament, shooting 2-under 70, carding three birdies in the round, jumping up the leaderboard. He finished in a tie for 11th place at 2-over, 218.
Jack Whaley finished the day shooting even, 72, carding 16 pars. He finished the tournament tied for 15th at 3-over, 219.
After going back-to-back in the Seminole Intercollegiate, FSU will play in the Valspar Collegiate, running from March 23-24 at the Grand Floridian Golf Club.
No. 18 FSU women’s golf fell to Alabama on the final day of the Old Barnwell Match Play Championship:
Pudas Remler put the first point on the board for the Seminoles as she defeated Alabama’s Harriet Lockley, 4&3, to put Florida State up, 1-0. She took the lead on the first hole of the match and never trailed. Pudas Remler led through the first nine holes (the Seminoles started on hole No. 10) before Lockley tied the match on the first hole of the second nine for the pair. Pudas Remler countered as she won the next two holes to go two holes up. She would be four holes up with three holes remaining to be played to clinch the victory.
Gazzoli never trailed in her match as she defeated Mattison Frick of Alabama by a 6&5 margin. The pair tied the first hole, and Gazzoli won four the next five holes to take command of the match. Gazzoli won eight of the 13 holes played, including each of the final five holes of the match to gain the victory and vault the Seminoles into a 2-0 team lead.
The Seminoles play host to the jewel of their schedule – the Florida State Match Up at the Seminole Legacy Golf Club – this upcoming weekend. The event runs from Friday (March 20) through Sunday (March 22) with admission and parking at no cost. The first tee time on Friday and Sunday is 8:45 a.m.
FSU beach volleyball’s Alexis Durish and Audrey Koenig were named AVCA/CBVB Pair of the Week, on top of earning Big 12 Pair of the Week:
The pair remained undefeated on the season and has not dropped a set in 10 matches together in 2026. Durish and Koenig took down No. 13 FAU at 21-18, 21-15 before facing No. 3 USC for match two. The pair snapped the Trojans eight-match win streak on the first court at 21-14, 21-16.
Durish and Koenig opened the second day by defeating UTampa at 21-16, 21-13. The duo’s final match of the weekend came against Big 12 opponent No. 6 TCU, a program that hadn’t lost since February 20. They closed the tournament and their winning weekend by getting the victory at 21-18, 21-16.
The pair has won 20 sets in a row and scored a combined 420 points, allowing only 292 against. Durish is only two wins away from reaching 100 career victories in the garnet and gold.
As a team, Florida State improved to 15-1 on the season after a perfect 4-0 weekend in Pompano Beach. FSU continues their season in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, this weekend and will face new Big 12 rivals in Boise State and Arizona State.
FSU swimming and diving will compete in seven events at the 2026 Division I NCAA Women’s Swimming and Diving Championships from March 18-21:
Redshirt senior Kayleigh Clark qualified in all three diving events, while sophomore Alice Velden and freshman Lucy Porter will swim in individual events. Seniors Julia Mansson and Sarah Evans and sophomores Mary Leigh Hardman and Maryn McDade will also represent Florida State as members of the Seminoles’ two relay teams.
Prelims will begin each day at 10 a.m. ET. The top eight finishers in every event will advance to finals and will determine places 1-8. Athletes who finish 9-16 will not compete in a B final, their final placement and point totals will be determined based on their preliminary times. Relays are timed finals and will all take place during finals sessions. Diving prelims begin at 12 p.m. ET each day, with the top 8 finishers advancing to finals.
FSU lacrosse hosts Gardner-Webb this afternoon:
The Seminoles opened the season with back-to-back nonconference victories over Stetson and Kennesaw State and look to return to the win column as they close out their current homestand against Gardner-Webb.
In their last outing, the Seminoles battled Virginia Tech and matched the Hokies in scoring over the final three quarters. Sophomore midfielder Meg Kenny contributed a single-game program-record four assists while freshman attacker Summer Harrell scored a career-high four goals in the effort.
Florida State has continued to show offensive growth throughout the season and is led by Kenny, who leads the team with 21 points on 15 goals and six assists through 10 games.
Harrell has been another key offensive option, totaling 19 points on 14 goals and five assists. Freshman Amelia Brite has added 10 goals on the year, while sophomore Lydia Ward and freshman Brynn Perkins have each recorded 12 points to help balance the Seminoles’ scoring attack.
Defensively, Florida State has recorded 141 ground balls and forced 74 caused turnovers across its first 10 contests this season.
In goal, Julia Ward and Catrina Tobin have split time for the Seminoles, combining for 68 saves this season. Ward currently holds a .391 save percentage to lead the team.
