No. 13 TCU held the annual Fight in the Fort this weekend, winning matches against Yale and Rice to enter Big 12 competition with a 9-2 record. The Horned Frogs topped the Bulldogs 25-10, 25-18, 25-22 in the morning before beating Rice 25-22, 21-25, 25-19, 25-21 in the evening. Evan Hendrix led the TCU attack with a combined 34 kills and two double-doubles. Kinsley Young was a big factor in the middle, posting a combined 22 kills and 11 blocks over two matches. The freshman middle blocker had a career-best
15 kills during the victory against Rice.
Jalyn Gibson finished the day with 22 kills on a .413 hitting rate. Rosemary Archer captained the TCU offense on the pass, serving up a combined 83 assists including 48 in the victory against Rice. Alice Volpe was the top back-row defender for the Horned Frogs, compiling 27 digs including 18 during the tournament final against Rice. Kelley (12 kills, 11 digs) earned a double-double against Yale and Young had seven blocks against Rice.
