Indiana men’s basketball is getting set for Big Ten Media Days this week, but the program could be set for some great news in the meantime.
Darius Wabbington, a 5-star center in the class of 2027, is set to announce his college decision this afternoon. He’s down to Indiana, Illinois and Arizona as a final group after taking visits to each over the course of the past month. It goes without saying, but landing Wabbington over two programs operating at the sport’s top echelon would be massive for Darian
DeVries and company.
The Hoosiers’ staff has been trying to land the program’s center of the future for years now in the high school recruiting ranks. No center has signed with Indiana out of high school since Logan Duncomb in the class of 2021 back when the program was still led by Archie Miller.
Yes, two coaches ago. Wabbington’s commitment would be the culmination of nearly half a decade of high school recruiting effort.
