Multiple Maryland tennis players have continued to ride their momentum this fall season, and Anastasiia Sorska is no exception. The freshman became the first Terp since 2021 to make the NCAA fall singles championship after going undefeated at ITA Atlantic regionals.
Sorska ultimately punched her ticket to the national tournament after defeating Virginia’s Vivian Yang in two sets on Monday. She has not lost a set all tournament and is one of the highest-touted recruits by the Terps in years..
She wasn’t the only Maryland standout during Monday’s draw, however. Emma Ghirardato and Diya Challa claimed victory in their semifinal matchup and will have a chance to qualify for the NCAA fall doubles championship Tuesday.
