With both Lamar Jackson and Tyler Huntley landing on injured reserve, the Baltimore Ravens are trading for a new starting quarterback to finish out the 2026 season: Jacoby Brissett.
According to NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport, the trade
is expected to be finalized this weekend. Baltimore is still expected to start Joe Fagnano against the Jaguars on Thursday.
Brissett, who has passed for 1,719 yards, 10 touchdowns and seven interceptions so far this season for the Arizona Cardinals, is now expected to be the starting quarterback for the Ravens when they face the Steelers on Dec. 20 and Jan. 10, the regular season finale.
Brissett gives the Ravens a distributor of the football, but he’s far less of a running threat than Jackson or Huntley, last breaking 200 rushing yards in a season in 2022.
Brissett has never had a winning season record as a starter. The Ravens are currently last place in the AFC North with a 4-4 record.
