Barcelona have reportedly been in touch to ask Manchester United about the possibility of a second loan deal for Marcus Rashford.
The England international is coming to the end of his existing deal at the Camp Nou, and the Catalan giants are reluctant to pay the 30 million euro buy option in his contract.
A new report from The Mirror claims that Barcelona have instead enquired about the possibility of another loan, deal, particularly as Rashford is keen to stay at the club.
There’s no answer yet from
Manchester United, but it’s thought the Red Devils want a straight sale this summer and are confident they have other potential buyers if Barca walk away from a deal.
There’s also another potential problem with a second Rashford loan. If Manchester United qualify for next season’s Champions League, which is looking likely currently, his wages will rise to £315,000-a-week.
Barca’s financial issues are well-documented and mean that Rashford’s improved salary could be a real issue when it comes to a second loan spell.
