Bayern looking to re-up Olise, but won’t risk eventually losing him for free (Sport Bild’s Christian Falk)
In recent seasons, Bayern Munich has let contracts run down on Thomas Müller, Leroy Sané, Leon Goretzka, Raphaël Guerreiro, Niklas Süle, and Corentin Tolisso.
That same thing will not happen with Michael Olise. Yes, Olise will almost assuredly hold more value than any of those players a year before his contract expires in 2029, but it is clear that Bayern Munich will not miss a chance for a big payday if it feels that it cannot convince the Frenchman to ink a new deal.
Of course, Bayern Munich is going
to do everything it can to sign Olise to a massive contract extension, but if there was an issue, the Bavarians would not hesitate to sell him to avoid losing him for free per Sport Bild journalist Christian Falk:
The main thing on Olise will be whether or not he signs a new contract with FC Bayern. Bayern Munich knows that time will keep running if he doesn’t put pen to paper on new terms. So, there will be a day when they have to talk and decide to potentially sell him a year before his contract runs out. They’d have to be able to bring in money to sign a potential successor. At the moment, the contract is running long enough to not worry about it at this point in time. The wide man is playing very well at Bayern Munich and he’s on a five-year contract, so the club still has time to convince him to sign a new contract.
This is not any kind of tough talk from the Bavarians, but just a pragmatic stance. Most experts expect Olise to spurn interest from Real Madrid, Manchester City, and Paris Saint-Germain, but nothing is set in stone.
Beşiktaş chasing Vlahović (Gazzetta dello Sport via ESPN)

Real wants Schlotterbeck despite injury (Mundo Deportivo)
Real Madrid is reportedly interested in Borussia Dortmund star and German national team center-back Nico Schlotterbeck:
Schlotterbeck, the 26-year-old German center-back, is one of the defenders on Real Madrid ‘s shortlist to strengthen their squad this summer. The Dortmund player is highly regarded by the club, which also has Ruben Dias and Bastoni on its shortlist.
Schlotterbeck was injured at the World Cup and will not only miss the tournament, but will also be out for about two months. Does that mean Real Madrid has closed the door on him? No, but it is true that this injury has diminished his standing in the club’s favor. The center-back won’t be recovered until August, which means he’s unlikely to be available for the start of La Liga, something Mourinho isn’t too happy about.
Schlotterbeck did just sign a new deal, but is rumored to have a release clause for certain clubs.
Spurs want Rashford (ESPN)
Tottenham Hotspur could be toying with the idea of making a move for Manchester United attacker:
Tottenham Hotspur are interested in Manchester United winger Marcus Rashford. The i Paper reports that Spurs are set to make the 28-year-old their next priority in the summer window, but are hopeful of negotiating a lower fee than the £25 million release clause in his loan deal at Barcelona. Rashford would reportedly prefer to remain in Europe, but the Red Devils have no plans to consider a second loan move for him at Camp Nou as they push to offload him permanently.
