A team is only as strong as its weakest link, but the Los Angeles Rams are mostly relying on their superstars to take them to the Super Bowl, just as they did in 2021. It’s more about their top-eight players than it is their bottom-eight.
The 2021 team had Matthew Stafford, Cooper Kupp, Aaron Donald, Jalen Ramsey, Andrew Whitworth, Von Miller, Odell Beckham … they were more top-heavy than well-rounded. And that’s fine, they won the Super Bowl!
Sean McVay is looking at a similar formula in 2026. So
who are the Rams top-eight players? You voted for them!
Moving into the top-eight of The Tournament of Ram-pions, we’re going to slot the top-four players into the next round already (Stafford, Puka, Garrett, McDuffie) and try to get some more compelling matchups in this round. So vote for who you think are the most important two players out of these four:
Kevin Dotson takes on Kobie Turner, and Kyren Williams faces Quentin Lake. Who should advance to the next round?
Vote!
(5) Kevin Dotson vs (8) Kobie Turner
In the last round, Dotson beat Steve Avila 82-18. And Turner beat Jaylen Watson 65-35. But had Turner faced Avila, maybe he would have won with over 80% of the vote?
Dotson’s road from being iced out of a job in Pittsburgh to being an All-Pro caliber guard in L.A. is remarkable. His backup is Justin Dedich, who came in for him at the end of 2025 and the Rams didn’t really struggle to score. The Rams averaged 26.7 points per game in his seven total appearances.
Turner’s backup is Ty Hamilton or maybe Tyler Davis. Or seventh rounder Tim Keenan III. Turner’s never gotten a lot of credit for what he’s done in the NFL, often having his sacks attributed to who his teammates are. But few defensive tackles in history have posted 24 sacks in their first three seasons. Five more sacks and he’ll surpass Michael Brockers’ entire career total with the Rams.

(6) Quentin Lake vs (7) Kyren Williams
Lake beat Kam Curl 74-26, whereas Kyren beat Davante Adams 59-41. Both fascinating matchups, and we have another intriguing bout here.
Would you rather the Rams had Lake, the versatile defensive back who seems to get better every year? Or Williams, one of the most productive players in the league? Lake missed seven games last year and the Rams went 4-3. His backup is anyone’s guess at this point. Kyren is backed up by Blake Corum.

The Top-4!
(1) Matthew Stafford
(2) Puka Nacua
(3) Trent McDuffie
(4) Myles Garrett
These four will move into another round. We’ll sort out how these players match-up with their next opponents after these votes are completed.
