After Bayern Munich took down Borussia Dortmund, many already called the Bundesliga race over.
There are 10 match days left and the Bavarians hold a 11-point lead over BVB. Yeah, it does look bleak for Borussia Dortmund and the rest of the Bundesliga, but Bayern Munich CEO Jan-Christian Dreesen thinks any talk of calling off the race is way premature.
“Vincent Kompany and Harry Kane have already said yesterday that we still have 10 games to play,” Dreesen said during an appearance on Bild Live (as
captured by @iMiaSanMia). “We’ve already had an 11-point lead in the season and we saw that things can go quickly with a draw or a defeat – but of course we don’t want to give up this lead. We’ll focus from game to game and keep the concentration up.”
Is Dreesen right….or is this race dead? It sure seems like many non-Bayern fans are ready to concede, but crazy things have happened in the past and while the Bavarians look great, it would be unwise to get a little too overconfident about where things stand at the moment.
