WWE Hall of Famer Mark Henry has received a lot of criticism for his very dumb take on the incident at KnokX Pro’s show last Saturday night, where MMA fighter Raja Jackson legitimately knocked out independent wrestler Syko Stu (real name Stuart Smith) with multiple heavy punches to the head, sending him to the hospital with serious injuries.
Henry actually defended Jackson to an extent by putting some blame on Stu due to the earlier beer can incident between them, and also using Raja’s ignorance of
the wrestling business to help explain his deplorable assault. Some people thought maybe Henry didn’t see the video of Stu apologizing to Raja about the beer can incident. But more time has passed, and Henry isn’t backing down in the slightest from his initial dumb take on the situation.
On The Morning Kickoff Show, Henry addressed the critics who said his response is related to race. He is also adamant about not apologizing for a single word that he said about the incident.
“…I just want to go on record as saying I’m making zero apologies for what I said. I meant every word. Every single word I meant. You have to be responsible on both sides. The WWE is where they are because they do great business, because they smarten everybody up. And when people go off script, they get fined, they get suspended, they get sent away. Until you know better, you can’t be on our program. And I don’t work for them, I just respect the business. So all of you fans out there that have these racist tendencies and all the vitriol for me, have at it. You can’t hurt me. I’m bulletproof.”
So there you have it. Mark Henry is still out here defending every single word he said about the incident, including the ones where he partially blames Syko Stu for being a victim of violent assault.
What your reaction to Henry doubling down on his opinion about Raja Jackson’s attack, Cagesiders?
