Borussia Dortmund are only a couple weeks out from the January Transfer Window and the rumors have already begun to churn. Amidst every club on planet earth being linked to Nico Schlotterbeck and Karim
Adeyemi, the real transfers are beginning to come to light.
The two nuggets of truth are Cole Campbell’s predicted departure and Julian Duranville’s pending loan. Campbell has only played 16 minutes this season for Dortmund and looks to be sent to Belgian side, Clube Brugge. Unfortunately for Dortmund, they rejected an offer from Stuttgart for seven million dollars in the summer and are now taking a huge price cut for just 16 minutes of game time. Duranville’s move is a bit more simple with the Belgian winger being linked to a 6 month loan within the Bundesliga.
BVB News
- Emre Can is linked to a move to Turkey with Fenerbahce, Bestiktas, and Galatasary interested. All reports indicate, however, that the midfielder will stay in Dortmund due to his Presence in the locker room.
- Borussia Dortmund hit their 25th anniversary of being publicly traded in the German market.
Bundesliga News
- Werder Bremen’s Leo Bittencourt announced that he will leave Bremen at the end of this year. The 31-year-old has balled out in the Bundesliga for Bremen over the last seven years but it looks like father time is catching up.
- Stuttgart’s Bilal El Khannous’s future looks contingent on vague metrics and objectives that could see the 21-year-old Moroccan return to his parent club, Leicester City. Frankly these objectives seems like a General Manager’s nightmare but a journalist’s dream.
Your Thoughts
It seems that Dortmund lacks talent in the wide areas of the pitch. Is losing Campbell and Duranville a good idea? Was that a loaded question? Who should Dortmund sign?
