The Las Vegas had their first win in a while on Sunday after reaching an agreement with head coach Klint Kubiak. Kubiak was a target for the Raiders from the beginning of the coaching search, and the franchise
landed its new leader.
John Spytek has a history with the Kubiak family, which allowed him to help sway Kubiak away from other positions. Even though Spytek led the coaching search, Tom Brady was involved as well. According to ESPN’s Jeremy Fowler, during their first interview, Kubiak and Brady hit it off.
“One thing I was told about Klint Kubiak and Las Vegas is that he and minority owner Tom Brady very much hit it off in the initial interview. “Both are all ball,” a source said. He was able to create momentum with his initial interview and that carried into this week.“
The seven-time Super Bowl champ’s presence hasn’t been felt during his time as minority owner. When it comes to landing Kubiak, fans saw the influence he could have on the organization, as his presence would add legitimacy. Hopefully, it can start to lead to wins on the football field.
