Maryland men’s lacrosse alumni Luke Wierman and AJ Larkin will join the U.S. Men’s National Team at the inaugural Pan-American Men’s Lacrosse Championship in Jamaica. The duo were named to the 22-player roster announced on Aug. 5.
Wierman won more than
60% of his faceoffs across his four years at Maryland. The West Chester, Pennsylvania native also notched 16 goals and 16 assists in 62 career games. That college success translated to the next level, as Wierman quickly established himself as one of the PLL’s top faceoff specialists.
Larkin logged 12 goals during his first three years as a Terp. The long-stick midfielder ranked second on the team last season with 40 ground balls corralled, earning him All-American second-team honors.
The Pan-American championship will serve as a qualifier for the 2027 World Lacrosse Championship. The U.S. men’s team has won 11 of the 14 championships and will look to continue its dominance starting on Aug. 18.
