Porto president Andre Villas-Boas has rubbished talk that Barcelona want to sign defender Jakub Kiwior in the summer transfer window.
Speculation emerged this week that Barcelona are thinking of the former Arsenal star as an option to bolster their backline.
Villas-Boas was asked about the rumors and insists there’s nothing going on with Barca.
“I was very surprised to see the news and I have to deny it. I haven’t spoken to Deco for three months, he never called me to talk about the Kiwior affair,”
he told reporters at an event in Lisbon.
Porto have just signed Kiwior on a permanent basis after a successful loan spell, while Barca seem to be prioritising strengthening their attack in the transfer window.
A move for Newcastle winger Anthony Gordon appears to be picking up steam, while Barca continue to be linked with Chelsea star Joao Pedro and Atletico Madrid’s Julian Alvarez.
