Good morning, BBN!
It’s been an amazing offseason for Kentucky basketball.
They have made significant strides this summer, and the numbers back it up. Jayden Quaintance was the most striking example, going from 6’9” and 215 pounds to 6’10½” and 255 pounds.
He is not the only one who transformed. Malachi Moreno added 20 pounds, while Kam Williams and Braydon Hawthorne each tacked on 15.
In total, the Wildcats packed on 55 pounds of muscle across the roster. It was not just about size either. Athletic
testing showed clear improvement.
Average vertical jump rose by two inches, sprint speed improved by 1.1 miles per hour, and lower body strength climbed by 15 percent.
All the investment Kentucky has made into its physical training has paid off, but will it translate into results? We’ll see!
