Happy Monday Dawg fans, and welcome to today’s Dots.
Yesterday was a pretty good sports day around here: Huskies beat the visiting Ducks in men’s basketball; the local NFL team punched a ticket to their
4th SB with a chance to settle a beef. The bad news: college football is off the field until August.
But I want to thank Curt Cignetti and his Hoosiers. Besides putting the cherry on top of a storybook cinderella turnaround, Cig and Company pulled a remarkable trifecta as they romped through the college football playoffs:
- They stomped and crushed the Ducks, further cementing Oregon as the Sisyphus of college football.
- Conquered a former Oregon coach who ran his mouth too much.
- Embarrased a former Husky coach who ran his mouth too little.
That’s right, I get the best of both worlds. When Kalen DeBoer wins, grown-up-Me is happy for him. When he loses, childish-Me is happy for…. childish Me. It’s not always easy for grown-up-Me and childish-Me to get along, but at least they can agree on this one thing.
See y’all kids in August!
