Dynamite airs tonight (Sept. 17) with a live show from Canada Life Place in London, Ontario, Canada. This is the final episode of Dynamite during the four week build to All Out, which takes place on Saturday (Sept. 20).
Here is Tony Khan’s plan for an AEW show you’ll never forget
AEW’s All Out pay-per-view takes place on Saturday night. That means Collision is off this weekend’s schedule, and AEW is instead delivering three hours of programming tonight dubbed “September to Remember.” Tony Khan has announced 11 different matches or segments so far for tonight’s
special live event. Let’s see just how memorable these segments look on paper:
- All Out contract signing for AEW World Champion Hangman Page vs. Kyle Fletcher
- Qualifier for All Out 4-way tag title ladder match: Bang Bang Gang vs. Young Bucks
- Qualifier for All Out 4-way tag title ladder match: JetSpeed vs. Killswitch & Kip Sabian
- Qualifier for All Out 4-way tag title ladder match: Top Flight vs. Hechicero & Josh Alexander
- Qualifier for All Out 3-way Unified title match: Mascara Dorada vs. The Beast Mortos
- No Holds Barred: Queen Aminata vs. Thekla
- Roderick Strong vs. Jon Moxley
- Bobby Lashley vs. Toa Liona
- Riho vs. Robyn Renegade
- Adam Copeland & Christian Cage go face-to-face with FTR
- Spotlight on AEW Women’s World Champion “Timeless” Toni Storm
Four of the eight bouts advertised for September to Remember are qualifiers for title matches at All Out. The Young Bucks are overwhelming favorites against Bang Bang Gang in their qualifying match, while JetSpeed also looks like a pretty good bet to advance to All Out over Kip Sabian and Killswitch. Top Flight can’t be ruled out for the PPV ladder 4-way since they can do spectacular things in that kind of match, but the Don Callis Family (Josh Alexander & Hechicero, in this case) generally receives more TV time and a bigger push in AEW. Will AEW World Tag Team Champions Brodido make an appearance on tonight’s go home show to scout all of their possible challengers at All Out?
The final qualifying match is The Beast Mortos vs. Mascara Dorada, who are trying to join AEW Unified Champion Kazuchika Okada and Konosuke Takeshita in the 3-way title match at All Out. No matter who wins tonight, that wrestler is likely taking the fall at All Out so that Okada can retain without Takeshita being pinned. The PPV match needs a babyface, so perhaps that gives Dorada an edge over The Beast tonight.
The big gimmick match tonight at September to Remember is the No Holds Barred fight between Thekla and Aminata. Thekla is the one who is competing at All Out in a 4-way AEW women’s world championship match, which means she can’t really lose this one. However, the stipulation for tonight welcomes all kinds of plunder and interference, which can quickly turn into chaos. And it will give Aminata a taste of what’s to come in her 8-woman Tornado Tailgate Brawl on the All Out pre-show.
The remaining three singles bouts tonight have obvious winners in Moxley, Riho, and Lashley. Riho in particular needs a good showing after her uncharacteristically poor performance last week. She’s matched up with a Renegade twin at September to Remember in what will likely be a very quick and forgettable match. Will TBS Champion Mercedes Mone come out afterwards to confront Riho ahead of their title match at All Out?
It looks like Lashley hasn’t wrestled a singles bout on AEW programming since early 2025. It will take a massive amount of interference from Ricochet and Bishop Kaun to stop Bob from forcing Toa Liona to tap out.
The most interesting thing about Jon Moxley’s match against Roderick Strong is to see what Darby Allin will do if that traitor Daniel Garcia shows up to join the Death Riders in a post-match beatdown on Strong, Kyle O’Reilly, and/or The Conglomeration.
That covers all the matches for tonight, but there are still some non-wrestling segments that Khan has planned for the September to Remember theme. First up is a contract signing for Hangman Page’s AEW world title defense against TNT Champion Kyle Fletcher at All Out. The challenger has an uphill battle in terms of proving that he belongs in a PPV world title match, so I think there’s a good chance that he leaves Hangman laid out tonight after they sign on the dotted line.
Then there is some kind of face-to-face confrontation between FTR and Adam Copeland & Christian Cage ahead of their tag team match at All Out. With all of this talk about ending each others’ career at the PPV, what could possibly go wrong when they meet face-to-face tonight?
Finally, there will be a spotlight tonight on AEW Women’s World Champion “Timeless” Toni Storm. On the one hand, this may sound like a filler segment on a PPV go-home show. On the other hand, Toni Storm always has a chance to do or say something unforgettable when she is given the spotlight.
Do these 8 matches and 3 non-wrestling segments sound like a September to Remember? Tune into Dynamite tonight to see if the actual show lives up to the hype.
Other stuff to keep an eye
– CMLL World Light Heavyweight Champion MJF let Mark Briscoe pick the stipulation for their match at All Out, which means both men will be going through lots of tables and thumbtacks in Toronto. Has MJF bitten off more than he can chew considering he also has a Mask vs. Title match against Mistico the night before at Arena Mexico?
– Eddie Kingston makes his return to an AEW ring this weekend at All Out. Will we get any kind of promo from the Mad King before he wipes the floor with Big Bill on Saturday?
– Kris Statlander says she wants nothing to do with the Death Riders, but will she be next to join up following Daniel Garcia’s heel turn last week?
– Claudio Castagnoli is still under contract with AEW and definitely not leaving anytime soon. Is it time for HOOK to come target him after Claudio injured HOOK in April? On a related note, will Claudio, Daniel Garcia, and Wheeler Yuta make it a top priority to win the AEW world trios championship from The Opps?
– Can it really be a September to Remember if Hologram’s clone doesn’t debut?
– Will the online teases of Jack Perry’s return make it onto Dynamite soon?
– Anthony Bowens’ singles push has failed. Is the solution to reunite The Acclaimed?
– Where the f*** is Chris Jericho?
