Former Real Madrid midfielder Marco Asensio praised Arda Güler’s ability and called him a very talented player in an interview on Wednesday.
The former player, who currently plays for Fenerbahçe in Türkiye, was asked about Güler’s progression as a footballer as well as what the future holds for him, about which he said good things.
He said: “He is a very talented player, and I believe he has a very good progression ahead of him at Real Madrid. By getting those minutes and that consistency, he will
continue to grow as a player. He is still young and can give a lot to Real Madrid.”
He was also asked about the ‘adaptation period’, something that even Asensio had to go through when he first joined the club.
He said: “Yes, in the end, when you go to Real Madrid, there is always an adaptation period, and I think he has already gone through that.”
Asensio did reiterate that Güler’s doing well for his age, and is well on his path to becoming a great player.
“He is on the right path, playing good matches, and he is a player of great quality who will surely keep improving and contributing even more to Real Madrid.
“Arda is truly very talented and a very high-quality footballer. I believe he will reach a much higher level than his current one.
“Of course, as he gets more minutes, he will have more opportunities to show himself, and he will evolve into a much better place.”
