Good morning, BBN!
Everyone, take a deep breath… we’ve officially made it. College Football is BACK!
The day starts in style overseas, with No. 22 Iowa State vs. No. 17 Kansas State in Dublin, Ireland (12 p.m. ET on ESPN). A ranked Big 12 matchup in a soccer stadium should be a fun kickoff to the season.
The afternoon features some smaller-school action, starting with Nicholls at Incarnate Word (1 p.m. on ESPN2), followed by Idaho State at UNLV (4 p.m. on the Mountain West Network/SSSEN). At 4:30 p.m.,
Tarleton State meets Portland State on ESPN2.
Prime time brings the bigger draws: Fresno State heads to Kansas (6:30 p.m. on FOX), while UC Davis takes on Mercer (7 p.m. on ESPN). Also at 7 p.m., Sam Houston visits Western Kentucky on CBS Sports Network for a solid Conference USA matchup.
The night wraps up in Honolulu, where Stanford faces Hawaii at 7:30 p.m. ET on CBS/Paramount+. Not a huge schedule, but plenty to satisfy fans starving for football.
We made it, friends. Enjoy your first College Football Saturday of the season.
