Barcelona have announced record income for the 2025-26 fiscal year and have made over 1 billion euros for the first time in the club’s history.
The Catalan giants have issued a financial update as part of a statement to confirm the date for the General Assembly which has been scheduled for the 19th September.
“Financially speaking, the season also saw record income, surpassing the 1 billion euro mark for the first time. This figure is essentially due to the increase in income from the use of the Stadium,
despite having played some games in the first semester at the Estadi Johan Cruyff and at the Estadi Olímpic, plus some matches at the Spotify Camp Nou when limited to a capacity of 42,000.
“The income figure is particularly relevant because, despite these circumstances, the budget for the fiscal year was virtually achieved, which had contemplated starting the season at the Stadium and with a capacity of 60,000 from the outset. This reaffirms the great future potential of the Spotify Camp Nou once fully operational.
“Other factors contributing to this record income are the continued increase in sponsorship income and the record turnover from Club merchandising sales through the subsidiary company BLM.”
The news comes after a summer transfer window that has seen Barcelona invest in the squad by signing players including Rodri, Karim Adeyemi, Anthony Gordon and Jessie Bisiwu.
There’s already speculation that finances may be an issue again next summer which may affect transfers, as Barcelona will have to return to Montjuic again as work begins on the Camp Nou roof.
