Good morning, Broncos Country. It’s been quite the journey for our Denver Broncos this season. Embarking on a thrilling ten-game winning streak, the Broncos are now the presumptive top seed in the AFC and the leaders of the AFC West. Without question, they have proven to be one of the NFL’s best teams in 2025.
With just four games remaining, the Broncos control their own destiny. Their final slate opponents are formidable, but the orange and blue have demonstrated a tremendous amount of grit and tenacity
as well. This weekend, they host the Green Bay Packers in one of the premier gridiron matchups on slate for Week 15.
The current leaders of the NFC North, the Packers are a team who excel on both offense and defense. They are a well-rounded team who will certainly be one of the toughest teams the Broncos have faced during their ’25 campaign. Head Coach Sean Payton knows Denver has their work cut out for them in order to achieve their twelfth win of the season on Sunday.
“They have a lot of weapons, a lot of guys that are coming back healthy, and a running back and a running game. I think that when sometimes when we tune in to the highlights, you don’t see some of the dirty work, and the pounding and the running, but they’re balanced,” Payton stated.
Quarterback Jordan Love and running back Joshua Jacobs have been two of the most productive players at their respective positions. Love is having a tremendous season and is arguably one of the league’s best signal callers. Jacobs is a dual threat running back with over 1,000 all-purpose yards and 12 touchdowns to date. The Packers’ offense, a Top 10 unit in the NFL, does well on key downs, sustaining drives, and moving the chains.
On defense, the Packers have a few things going for them. Green Bay has been very opportunistic generating turnovers. Additionally, they tout a quality pass rush headlined by dynamic edge rusher Micah Parsons—a four-time Pro-Bowler and three-time All-Pro. To achieve a statement win, the Broncos’ offensive line is going to have to find a way to slow down one of the league’s premier players.
All-Pro cornerback Patrick Surtain II knows how pivotal Sunday’s matchup is. A lot is on the line. Including the Broncos officially punching their ticket to the postseason and getting one step closer to becoming the AFC West champs for the first time in a decade. Another week, another game that will serve as a measuring stick to prove their worth as a squad.
“The Packers have a great team. They have a talented roster. I think it’s another week where we have to prove ourselves. That’s what the league is about,” remarked Surtain. “The offense as a whole, it starts with the run game, and it builds into the pass. So, I think it’s going to be a great battle for us, a great competitive battle.”
For most of the season, the Broncos have found a way to win. I can’t wait to see what happens on Sunday. I think Denver will once again pull out another close, hard-fought battle. How about you, Broncos Country?
