Just twelve months after making his high-profile move to Tyneside, Nick Woltemade is officially on the move again.
Juventus have completed a deadline-day deal to bring the 24-year-old German attacker to Turin on a season-long loan from Newcastle United. With Newcastle clearing space in their squad, Juventus pounced to add a completely unique profile to Luciano Spalletti’s attack ahead of a demanding multi-competition schedule.
The financial terms of the deal make this a straight loan with no option
or obligation to buy included in the agreement. Juventus will pay an initial loan fee of €2.8 million to Newcastle, along with €800,000 in ancillary costs. The deal also includes up to €500,000 in performance-based bonuses depending on objectives reached over the course of the 2026–27 campaign.

Having come through the ranks at Werder Bremen, Woltemade made his first-team debut there in 2020. In 2022/23 he was loaned out to SV Elversberg and, later, after an impressive Bundesliga season, he moved to Stuttgart in the summer of 2024.
He enjoyed a real breakout spell with Stuttgart, scoring 18 goals in 36 appearances and helping the side win the German Cup, which earned him a move to Premier League club Newcastle United in 2025. In 53 appearances for the Magpies, he scored 11 times and provided six assists.
Woltemade’s path to Turin has been a rapid climb through European football. After coming through Werder Bremen’s academy, he broke out during a standout 2024–25 campaign at VfB Stuttgart, finishing as top scorer in the DFB-Pokal and starring at the 2025 UEFA Under-21 European Championship. That momentum prompted Newcastle to break their club record to land him, but after a year in England spent largely in rotation, he turns to Serie A for a guaranteed central role
