Pedro Neto may have scored a hat-trick against Hull City in the FA Cup, but that was not enough to convince the WAGNH Community that he has snapped out of his subpar form of late, with the voters preferring Estêvão by about 10 per cent margin.
Neto still would’ve made the cut for the starting XI were it not for the voters also preferring to roll with three midfielders, which is something that’s been working well for Liam Rosenior. That look, still ostensibly a 4-2-3-1, involves starts for both Moisés
Caicedo and Andrey Santos in central midfield, with Enzo Fernández pushing a bit further forward (and shading to the left wing).
4-2-3-1 (79%)
Sánchez (97%) | Hato (84%), Chalobah (79%), Fofana (76%), James (86%) | Santos (73%), Caicedo (89%) | Enzo (91%), Palmer (95%), Estêvão (69%) | João Pedro (93%)
Beyond Neto (59%), Mamadou Sarr (37%) came closest to a start after his good full debut last weekend. Malo Gusto (24%), Josh Acheampong (13%), and Liam Delap (10%) were the only other players to reach the double digits.
