The Los Angeles Rams appear poised to have Puka Nacua available for their Week 7 matchup against the Las Vegas Raiders despite the star wide receiver suffering a minor calf injury during Thursday’s practice. While the injury raised some concerns heading into the weekend, Nacua is expected to suit up, giving Matthew Stafford and the Rams offense a significant boost as they look to get back on track. Nacua’s injury status headed into today is questionable.
Nacua’s availability is especially important given the injuries he has already dealt with throughout the 2026 season. The third-year receiver has been a central figure in Los Angeles’ passing attack, and keeping him healthy will be critical as the Rams navigate the middle portion of their schedule.
The latest calf issue is another reminder of the physical toll Nacua has endured this season. Although the injury is reportedly minor, any setback involving one of the team’s most important offensive players warrants attention, particularly with the Rams needing consistency from their passing game.
Nacua previously battled a groin injury that forced him to miss Weeks 2 and 3. His absence during that stretch left Los Angeles without one of its most productive and dependable receiving options, putting additional pressure on Stafford and the rest of the receiving corps to compensate.
That importance becomes even greater with Davante Adams placed on injured reserve and expected to miss 6-10 weeks with a ruptured hamstring. The Rams need their receiving group to remain productive, and having Nacua available would provide some much-needed stability as Los Angeles prepares to face Las Vegas.
Still, the Rams will need to monitor Nacua’s condition closely. Even if he plays Sunday, managing his workload and ensuring the calf injury does not become a longer-term concern will be worth watching.
For now, the expectation is that Nacua will be on the field against the Raiders.
