Welcome to the Morning Commute
Today we’re talking about Mizzou Softball’s stretch run
After a much-needed win over Top-10 Arkansas on Sunday to avoid the sweep, Mizzou Softball’s postseason hopes are still alive.
With four games remaining in the regular season, the Tigers are 26-26 overall (8-13 SEC). For a chance at a regional appearance, Mizzou will need to finish with a winning record — and it starts later tonight vs Kansas City in their final midweek game.
Missouri will then host Top-10 Tennessee Thursday-Saturday to close out
the regular season.
First things first, Mizzou will need to take care of business in their midweek against Kansas City. If the Tigers can find a way to take two out of three against Tennessee, they should be in good shape heading into the SEC Tournament.
The final stretch is at home — so get to Mizzou Softball Stadium.

If you were paying attention to our website – or, you know, the draft – the past few days, you’ll have noticed that the Tigers had a nice run on days two and three in Pittsburgh, adding six alumni to the ranks of the best football players in the world.
It was a successful NFL Draft weekend for the Mizzou Football program, that’s for sure.
While I took a little trip down to the bootheel for a Missourian story this week, Margo was on a roll covering Mizzou sports! On Wednesday, she covered softball’s 7-0 win over SIUE, then again on Friday as baseball fell to Arkansas 6-0, and again on Saturday for volleyball’s Mizzou Tournament. Keep reading to see the awesome shots she came back with!
Check out some good photos from the baseball and softball diamond, and even volleyball!
