After Bayern Munich’s return to victory in its game against RB Leipzig in the Bundesliga after two consecutive draws following the latest international break, the Bavarians are set to face English side Arsenal FC in the UEFA Champions League on Wednesday. The Germans will miss some key players, though, after it was confirmed that Jamal Musiala will not be ready for the game after an injury with the German national team; additionally, winger Michael Olise will be unavailable for selection after earning
a suspension in the last UCL match.
Because of that, Bayern’s star striker Harry Kane exhorted his teammates to step up to the challenge of replacing said players in an interview after the game against RB Leipzig (Absolut Bayern via @iMiaSanMia). “Of course we’ll miss one of our players. Now other players have to step into the spotlight and take their chance. That is the competition at Bayern Munich,” Kane encouraged his teammates.
Coach Vincent Kompany will have to find a way to fill the voids left by those absences in the attacking side of his team, in a match where Die Roten will surely seek to get revenge for their loss against the Gunners last season.
