The Washington Commanders are elevating C/G Julian Good-Jones from the practice squad for tomorrow’s season opener against the Philadelphia Eagles. He had been the team’s No. 2 center at the start of training camp, but Nick Allegretti’s calf injury had him taking first-string reps with rookie Matt Gulbin behind him on the depth chart.
The Commanders released their injury report yesterday, and didn’t have any players with injury designations. Head coach Dan Quinn said that everyone was good to go.
OLBs Odafe Oweh (calf) and K’Lavon Chaisson (knee) were limited all week, but will make their Washington debuts on Sunday. RB Bill Croskey-Merritt (groin) was also limited this week, but told reporters he was ready for his second season to start in Philly. DT Daron Payne was added to the injury report on Thursday with a knee injury, but will lead the defensive line against the Eagles.
The Philadelphia Eagles announced two roster moves before tomorrow’s game. They downgraded rookie TE Eli Stowers to out tomorrow due to a hamstring injury. The Eagles also elevated WR Britain Covey from the practice squad.
