The Seattle Seahawks (2-0) wrap up their opening month of the 2026 regular season with a road game against a team in desperate need of something positive to happen. If the Seahawks are flying, the Washington Commanders (0-2) are sinking fast. Jayden Daniels is out injured again, so Marcus Mariota will be playing Seattle for a third time with a third different team. Meanwhile, the Seahawks will have Sam Darnold returning to the lineup after just one game missed with a glute injury.
It’s not a completely
rosy picture for Seattle in terms of health. Starting safeties Ty Okada and Julian Love are both out, which means we should see A.J. Finley and Rodney Thomas II get the start. Maxen Hook is also available from the practice squad. Outside of that, however? Washington is more banged up, Dan Quinn’s team has been a mess on defense, and the offense has been inconsistent. One thing that could help the Commanders is a mixture of bad weather and home field advantage, having started the first two weeks on the road. Is it really much of an advantage when you’re playing a team that’s 15-1 in its last 16 road games? Probably not.
