Hansi Flick spoke to the media ahead of Barcelona’s clash with Club Brugge and explained why he’s named an unchanged XI for the Champions League match.
The Barcelona boss has stuck with the same team that
beat Elche at the weekend, explaining he was happy with that performance from his team.
“[It’s] is because of what I said after the Elche game. I saw many things I liked, and that’s why I’ve decided to repeat the same starting eleven, because I believe in them. We’ve decided not to make any changes,” he explained.
Fit-again duo Dani Olmo and Robert Lewandowski are once again on the bench, with Flick also revealing they’re not quite ready to start.
“They are gradually returning. They’re not yet ready to play the entire match, perhaps 30 or 45 minutes,” he added.
“It will be a similar match to the one against Elche, a technically very good team. It will be difficult. They will press us one-on-one and we will have to play with confidence.”
