The Seattle Mariners have won their first series of 2026, and have the mopportunity to send the reeling Houston Astros on their way in an ambulance. This is sadly literally true as much as figurative, as Houston is falling apart physically as much as performance-wise. Today launched another flurry of injury news for the browbeaten Texans.
On the bump today are a newcomer and and oldcomer to the AL West – RHP Mike Burrows for the Astros takes his first crack at the Mariners since coming over from the Pittsburgh Pirates this winter, while George Kirby will look to build on a trio of solid outings that showcased his trademark efficiency.
