My family moved to greater Jacksonville at the turn of the century. I was a year old, and with no previous
ties to Northeast Florida, I guess I didn’t really cheer for the local team until they gave me something to cheer about. The 2017 season hooked me because it was a driving conversation not just for my close friend group, but really for everyone in the city. The more I talked to fellow fans — whether in person or on “Jags Twitter” — the more my passion for the team grew. The 2017 season turned me into a fan; the community turned me into a diehard.
